Youth Outreach

  • Venango Youth Choir

The Youth Choir is a Community Outreach Program of the Good Hope/Zion Lutheran Ministry. It is free and open to all area students from Grade 1 through Grade 8. The singers are divided into two groups, the “Apprentices” (Grades 1 and 2) and the “Concert Choir” (Grades 3-8). They learn how to sing, play recorders and other instruments and have fun! The choir will culminate in at the end of each semester with a concert.

  • Stay & Play

Good Hope/Zion Community Ministry Youth Program Stay and Play provides a safe space for at risk youth to come for tutoring, fellowship, meals, and other life skills. Stay and Play operates Monday thru Friday, 3:00pm to 8:00pm.

  • Conductor Camp

Conductor Camp is a mini camp that teaches children about train conducting, music conducting, and electric conducting. The participants took a ride on the OC&T railroad, visited a local model train enthusiast, learned about conducting music, and explored the basics of electrical engineering and circuitry. The program is an offshoot of Venango Youth Choir to provide a short summer program involved in STEAM.
